Chupa Chups: BrandActiv’s Sweet Success on the Global Stage

BrandActiv was honoured with the prestigious Best New Product Launch in Africa 2024 award at the Perfetti Van Melle Gala Dinner (Middle East & Africa), This recognition is a milestone in the journey of Chupa Chups, celebrating its remarkable relaunch and outstanding performance in Mauritius.

The award was proudly received by Patrice Marie (COO, BrandActiv), Darrel Appou (Head of Food & Beverage and Regional Marketing) and Shaheena Elaheebucus (Brand Manager, Chupa Chups) at The Westin Jumeirah Beach, Dubai on the 19th of February.

The success of this relaunch stems from the strategic direction, collaborative efforts, and passion of everyone involved. The launch of 30 new products contributed to an impressive 300% growth in turnover, a testament to the team’s dedication and hard work.

As part of the relaunch, a Bootcamp was organized for 92 participants, providing a platform to align BrandActiv’s sales and marketing team with Chupa Chups’ new vision and to build excitement for the future.

In addition, a corporate event for retailers was held to strengthen relationships, drive continued success, and allow them to discover the new product range.

A standout achievement was the swift execution of over 1,000 POSM in just one month, which showcased the team’s exceptional on-the-ground performance and ability to mobilize at scale. This rapid rollout was critical in reinforcing the brand’s presence and fuelling its growth.

This award is a testament to the vision, hard work, and collaborative spirit that led to the relaunch of Chupa Chups.
